The Joys of Solé Water
Minerals – I could sing their praises all day long. Minerals are the foundation of thousands of processes in the body.
Did you know that minerals can help calm your system, relieve PMS, reduce anxiety and increase energy and digestion?
Many people are familiar with “the big four,” calcium, potassium, sodium, and magnesium which are also known as electrolytes, often sold in overpriced, chemical-laden sport drinks.
You can also make simple solé water to start replenishing minerals in your body.
Solé water is easy and practically free.
Solé Water How To Recipe:
1 clean glass jar with a lid (old pickle jar will do)
High quality salt (Redmond or Celtic Sea Salt)
Filtered Water
Fill the jar just under 1/4 full with salt. Add filtered water, leaving a thumbs-width free at the top. Place the lid on the jar and shake. Leave it over night to mix. If all the salt has dissolved in the morning, add another teaspoon of salt. If there is still salt on the bottom of the jar in the morning, then full saturation has been reached. This is what we are looking for.
First thing in the morning, take one teaspoon of solé water and add it to one full glass of filtered water. Drink all at once if you can. If you prefer, you can drink the solé water slowly over an hour. This will help to replenish minerals and hydration lost overnight while sleeping.
Many people ask if Himalayan salt can be used for solé water. Himalayan salt is often produced by using dynamite, which can leave residues on the salt. If you prefer Himalayan salt, make sure it is free of such residues.
Enjoy!
